We are very sorry to announce that due to unforeseeable circumstances, we have had to cancel the gig on Tuesday 25th April. Refunds will be issued to all who purchased tickets in advance. Thanks for supporting Perth Folk Club and do check back for updates over the coming months.

The perfectly matched duo of Barbara Dymock and Christopher Marra have a wide and vast variety of musical collaboration under their combined belts, enabling them to perform with understated experience and ease.

Barbara was brought up in Fife, learning Scottish and Irish songs from her grandparents. Whilst at Dundee University, she began singing with the newly formed Ceolbeg, and was amazed that people were interested in hearing her Granny’s “auld sangs”! Ever since, she has been captivating audiences with her traditional repertoire, and as such was nominated for Scots Singer of the Year at the Scots Trad Music Awards in 2011.

Chris has been a working musician since his teens, performing and writing in many distinct fields from bighair rock to sophisticated pop with Danny Wilson, via London’s Theatreland. The majority of his time was spent recording and performing with his brother Michael Marra, producing albums for both Michael and the legendary Saint Andrew.

Together, they produced 2016’s Leaf an’ Thorn, an album whose 13 tracks crackle with an air of diversity.
